Rod Wave
Rodarius Marcell Green[2] (born August 27, 1998) who is professionally referred to as Rod Wave, is an American artist and rapper. [3][4][5"[3][4][5] Wave is well-known for his powerful voice and use of hiphop and R&B[2and has been hailed as a pioneer of soul-trap. The track from his album "Heart on Ice" was a huge sensation on YouTube and TikTok. It reached number 25 on Billboard Hot 100. Wave's debut album Ghetto Gospel (2019) peaked at number 10 in the US Billboard 200. The album that followed Pray 4 Love (2020), reached the top spot at number 2 on the Billboard 100, and also included the track "Rags2Riches", which peaked at number 12 on the Hot 100. The album he released his third SoulFly (2021) was released at the top of the Billboard 200, marking his first chart-topping single. The career of Wave began in 2016 with the release his mixtape, Hunger Games Vol. 1. Before signing with Alamo Records, he released several mixtapes by himself. The mixtape was released PTSD on June 14 2019 and included the track "Heart on Ice". The song became viral on YouTube and TikTok it reached number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. "7" Wave's debut album, Ghetto Gospel, was released on November 1, 2019. It peaked at the number 10 spot on the US Billboard 200. The 3rd of April, 2020, Rod Wave released his second album, "Pray 4 Love". It debuted at number 2 in the Billboard 200. A deluxe edition came out on August 7. The album debuted at the 2nd spot on the Billboard 200, with an enhanced edition following on August 7. 14. On August 11 on the 11th of August in 2020, Wave was included on the XXL's 2020 Freshman Class. Wave released a statement in July of 2020, revealing that he was still making his third album. It was originally planned for August 27 in 2020. 2] He announced the tracklist for the album SoulFly on March 6, 2021. [16][17] The album also contains songs "Street Runner" and "Tombstone" his highest-charting song which peaked at number 11 on the Hot 100.
