Charissa Thompson
Thompson was a former FOX Sports host who left FOX Sports to join Yahoo Sports in 2010, as well as hosted Versus Sports. She was the host of Versus' NHL coverage in the studio as well as produced Web-based videos for Yahoo's popular platform. Thompson led the website's presence during high-profile sporting events such as those of the 2010 Winter Olympics and FIFA World Cup. She was a successful host across both of these areas. This led her to join ESPN on August 11, 2011. As a host, she was the host of the brand new afternoon program "Numbers Never lie" that was broadcast on ESPN. In July 2012, she made the transition into the highly-rated "SportsNation," enjoying a long-lasting and successful show that ran until she resigned from the network in order to be back in Los Angeles for the launch of FS1 in May 2013. Thompson is a fan of sports in her core, has displayed impressive ability to transition into the world of entertainment programming. Thompson was hired as the co-host for the Hollywood newsmagazine "Extra" during June 2014 after a variety of temporary jobs. In her role as co-host, she filmed at Universal Studios as well as staffed award shows and celebrity events regularly.
