Lucy Liu is an American actor, voice actress, director producer and a singer. She's a beautiful, skilled actress that has inspired many Asian actors to be successful in Hollywood. Her fame was boosted by several popular characters in series. In the Ally McBeal series, where she played Ling Woo the villainous character. Her new-found fame was translated into roles for the big screen, in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels and other films. For Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an amazing performance in the role of Japanese crime lord O-Ren. She also played leading roles in the failures of box office films like Rise: Blood Hunter. Later, she was able to start voicing characters from animated films such as Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. The small screen role of Mia Mason in Cashmere Mafia didn't yield any positive results. Southland's critically acclaimed series on police, Southland and a recurring character helped Liu to regain her status role as an actress. Liu chooses her roles with utmost care in order to ensure she is not marginalized in a crowded industry. Even though she's proud her culture, she will not allow that to limit her creativity.
